Irrigation Production Forum: Challenges Facing the Irrigation Producer

TCU Place

35, 22nd Street East, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Tuesday, 14 August 2018

Overview

The Irrigation Production Forum is a focus on the Irrigation Producer: their experiences, challenges and innovative solutions to concerns about water quality and quantity (shortage and excess). You will hear how they make production and marketing decisions in an increasingly volatile global marketplace. Water managers will also discuss the challenges with supplying sufficient water for irrigation production in the future in the face of short supply and increasing demand from other sectors. Presentations will also look at the changing role of the irrigation producer in the global food chain, and why governments need to utilize irrigation producers to ensure that the increasing demands for food are being met to address food security issues.
